Private Snowboard Coaching

Snowboard Experience

Beginners, returning riders, freeride lines. Calm, technical, adapted to the day's conditions.

Private snowboard lessons in Val d’Isère for all levels, from first descents to refining freeride lines on the Espace Killy. The sessions are calm and technical, focused on what each rider actually needs that day: cleaner turn shape, better edge work, reading terrain, or simply more confidence on bigger runs. I adapt the spots and the pace to the conditions, and the day stays a snowboard day, not a watered-down ski lesson.

A Typical Day

We meet at a point chosen around your level and the day’s conditions — a gentle area for a first session, or a lift access closer to steeper terrain for riders progressing toward freeride (see all meeting points). The first runs are about reading your stance, balance, and comfort on the board before choosing where to go next. Through the day, the terrain opens up gradually: cleaner turn shape on groomed pistes, then a step toward steeper or ungroomed sections if the conditions and your level allow it. We finish somewhere that matches how the day actually went, not a fixed script.

Good to Know

Sessions are usually booked as a half-day or full day, and the rate depends on the format and whether the day stays on groomed terrain or moves toward freeride and off-piste, which changes the level of guiding involved. Multi-day progression across a stay is common for riders who want to build steadily rather than cram everything into one session. Send your level, dates, and what you want to work on, and I will reply with a clear proposal. Explore the other private ski experiences if snowboard isn’t quite the right fit for your group.

What We’ll Focus On

  • Foundations for Beginners: Safely mastering your first turns and building core confidence.
  • Technical Refinement: Improving edge control, posture, and fluidity on all terrains.
  • Freestyle & All-Mountain: Introduction to the park or discovering the best hidden powder stashes.
  • Equipment & Meeting Point: I coordinate gear logistics and a clear meeting point so the day starts simply.

Frequently Asked Questions

I've never snowboarded — can you teach absolute beginners?

Yes. Beginners are a core part of what I coach — we start on gentle terrain, focus on balance and the first linked turns, and build from there at your pace.

I already ski well — is switching to snowboard realistic in a few days?

It depends on your goals and fitness, but most riders with strong ski instincts adapt reasonably fast. I'll give you an honest read after the first session on what's realistic for your stay.

Do you coach freeride and off-piste lines?

Yes, for riders who are ready for it. I choose lines based on conditions and your level, and we build up to steeper or ungroomed terrain progressively, not on day one.

Can you help with equipment rental?

I don't rent gear directly, but I can point you to trusted rental shops in Val d'Isère and help make sure the setup — stance, boot fit — works before we start.

Ready to plan this day?

Send your dates and level. I reply within 24 hours with a clear proposal.
