From the Ocean to the Summit
Romain grew up on Arcachon Bay, where he learned to read the tides, navigate the currents, and respect the power of nature. Years of ocean sailing forged an instinct that no classroom could teach — anticipation, adaptation, and a deep understanding of the elements.
When the call of the mountains became impossible to ignore, Romain traded the Atlantic for the French Alps. He settled in Val d'Isère and discovered that the same principles that guided him at sea — reading terrain, feeling conditions, making split-second decisions — applied perfectly to skiing.
His coaching philosophy is rooted in this dual heritage. There are no rigid drills or one-size-fits-all programs. Instead, Romain observes, adapts, and guides each client toward their own breakthroughs — whether that means conquering a fear, discovering a hidden powder stash, or simply enjoying the mountain with absolute confidence.
